And we're back!!! Introducing Bridget Grace Bernfeld!

I used to be really good about keeping the blog up to date.  Really, I was.  In fact, I really enjoy taking the time to sit down and chat through what's going on.  It's great to sit back and peruse the previous postings, as I used this as the primary medium to update friends and family on the adventures with Axel.

Well, now we have new adventures to share and thanks to the generous maternity leave offered by my employer, I have some time to get going on this again.  Guilt plays into this as well, as I would hate to have this great chronicle of Axel's development and nothing on our new addition.

New addition?  What?

Well, in case you missed it, we welcomed Bridget Grace Bernfeld into the family on September 5, 2017.  She was born at 10:41am and weighed in at 7 lbs, 1.5 oz and 19 inches long.  I'm biased, but I think she's just beautiful.

I had a C Section with Bridget, as I did with Axel.  However, this one I knew was coming.  The experience was really interesting …

Opinions on Minions

A quick shout out to one of the folks on my team... we'll call him Tyler. He called me out for the fact that I have not updated my blog in, oh, FOREVER, and so here it is.

Last time I posted was, oh... NEW YEAR'S DAY 2015. And it was about my resolution of keeping up with my blog because it had been so long. What an absolute failure of a resolution. Then I made that resolution again. And failed again. For those of you who take the time to read these, I apologize. And I should know that if I were actually good about staying on top of this, my blogs wouldn't be so freaking lengthy. At this point in time I have a year and a half (plus) to catch everyone up on!  (Don't worry, I only chose a handful of things to chat about... it's long, but it could be worse.)

So where to start, where to start...

Axel :  He's always a good topic and the reason the blog was created. He's now three. Yup, he's entered the Threenage years. Serenity now.

Happy New Year!

First and foremost, I recognize and admit that I am a failure at keeping up with blogging, as much as I really do enjoy it.  Perhaps my resolution should be to be better about this.  Done... Now you can all cheer me on and encourage me to be more proactive about sharing the stories and adventures of the Axman and the Bernfeld crew.

I guess it's a testament to how busy little man keeps us that I haven't updated the blog since (gulp) his birthday.   I was thinking about this the other day and felt that it would be great timing to do the next blog post today with a recap of some of the highlights of the past six months.

Oh, and of course, there will be pictures. :)

So let's look back into the summer, shall we?   After his birthday, his next massive milestone was graduation from his DocBand.

The clinician gave us the option to do a second band (they get to a point with the band where it's no longer modifiable, so if you need to continue treatment you must get a second ba…
